This is the first of three shoots from an awesome weekend of photographing in and around London.

Richmond Park is one of my favourite places in London. This is no small garden. It should be called Richmond Safari Park. You can run around it, cycle through it, walk the dog, and watch huge deer with even bigger antlers strut their stuff.

So when Aarti and Neil told me that they got engaged nearby on the banks of the river near Richmond Hill there was only one place we would go. The session was a hoot – we talked a lot, had a lot of fun and took heaps of photographs. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

In essence we recreated their engagement, but in reverse. We started the shoot in the Roebuck pub, where they celebrated after the proposal. Then we skipped into Richmond Park – covered in spring flowers and basking in the evening sun. After a meander down Richmond Hill we finished off the shoot by the River Thames.
