I’ve been fortunate enough to travel and photograph some beautiful places in the world. However if you look hard enough you often find social, environmental and political challenges, and people working hard to make a particular corner of the planet better.
I became a photographer to use imagery, the written word and an inquisitive mind-set to tell a story about a place and its people, as a tool to educate and a means to inspire.
What I do:
Not-for-profits, NGO and charities – creating powerful, inspiring and culturally sensitive imagery that communicates the result of the financial, effort and emotional investment you make in your projects. For an example of this take a look at my work for Mission Rabies in India.
Travel – I am available for commissions in the UK and worldwide to shoot and write on topics of interest for the online and written press. I have visited over 45 countries, lived the Central American jungle, bush camped and 4WD across the Australian desert, run marathons, competed in triathlons, love to ski, surf, dive and trek. As a result there aren’t many briefs I can’t fulfil whether that involves reviewing a hotel in Cuba, trekking high in the Himalaya, or scuba diving in the Red Sea.
Editorial and News – I am available to cover events in the UK and overseas. With the rise of internet-enabled camera phones never has it been easier to obtain photographs of an event. However having access to unique, stimulating and captivating imagery can be a key differentiator in driving print sales and web traffic.
Expedition and field trips – whether you are an organisation undertaking a project or field-trip overseas, a group organising an expeditions, or a charity running a fund-raising trips for volunteers, I can offer cost-effective photography packages to document the work you are doing.
Accolades include being a finalist in the National Geographic Traveller 2014 photography competition and having my charity work featured in the online edition of National Geographic. My travel photography has been highly commended by the Society of Travel & Tourism photographers and photojournalism featured by the Daily Mail, Western Morning News and BBC.
