      Documentary London Wedding Photographer

Whether you are planning a small intimate ceremony in the UK or a large destination wedding overseas, your wedding will be a special moment in your life to treasure forever. More than just smiles and laughter, every wedding is packed full of emotion, symbolism, intimacy, celebration and spontaneous unscripted moments. Your wedding is the product of a unique love story, and one I never tire of telling through my photography.

When it comes to me photographing your wedding the emphasis is on taking images packed with feeling – whether that’s of pre-wedding nerves, happy tears, or as guests strut their stuff on the dancefloor. I am someone you can trust completely, relax in the presence of, and will bring out the best version of you and your guests on the day. If you’re in the moment and being yourself then I will always get great photographs you will enjoy for years to come!

I’m based in Wimbledon, London but I love travelling across the UK, discovering new venues, and meeting new and inspiring people. I’ve also been fortunate enough to shoot many beautiful weddings overseas – covering destination weddings in countries as diverse as Australia, Ibiza, Italy, Portugal, Slovakia, Mexico and Monaco.

Planning a wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event and involves decisions from all important-timings to building the perfect supplier team. However the internet can be a somewhat overwhelming place to start. I’m lucky enough to have seen most things in my life as a photographer and worked with some brilliant suppliers too so I’m always happy to help out with suggestions or ideas to make your day just that bit better.

If this all sounds good to you then do get in touch. If you want to see more then check out the real weddings section below or head to my blog. If you have a question then take a look at the FAQ below or give me a call!

      FAQ:

      What is included?

All packages include me on the day, a big smile, positive attitude and a bag full of the best gear money can buy.

I’m always happy to review timings to ensure you have enough space to get the photos you want and enjoy your evening, and I’m on hand if you’re struggling to find a supplier or even a venue.

After your wedding you get a same-week Facebook preview to relive those memories, followed by a beautiful online gallery from which you can view, share and download your images

      Do you offer albums?

Yes of course – I’d always recommend having a printed, physical storybook from your day that you can hold in your hand. I don’t normally include them in my packages as, quite frankly, you’ve got better things to be spending money on right now. But when the dust has settled on your wedding and you want to create a permanent physical memory of your celebration, I’m always happy to design a bespoke album that is then printed and handmade in Italy or the UK.

What if I want more than one photographer?

I shoot two thirds of my weddings alone. But for some weddings – especially larger weddings and those across several locations – having a second photographer means we can cover multiple angles on your day. You can either book this at the time of the main booking or add a photographer later. In all cases I choose from a small pool of excellent photographers based on their personality and skill set.

      Do you travel?

Most definitely! About 25% of my weddings are in London, the rest are spread all over the UK and overseas too. Within England & Wales the pricing includes travel. For overseas destination weddings flights to most corners of the earth are pretty reasonable and we then work out the most practical way of accommodating me at, or near to, the venue

What about portraits and groups shots?

Yes of course. Whilst I’m a documentary photographer by background we always schedule some time for both. It’s really important that you both get some time out together so we head for a relaxed walk around the venue or to a spot nearby for 10-15 minutes at a couple of points during the day. They’re always relaxed, fun, creative and personal to you. And we’ll agree a small number of group shots that cover your closest loved ones and bridal party without keeping you away from the celebrations for too long.

      Why should we book you?

I’m not very good with this bit so I’ll leave you with the words of one of my recent Weddings:

“Richard isn’t just a photographer, he becomes your friend throughout the whole process of wedding planning, offering help an advice whenever needed. It was easy to chose Richard immediately from his beautiful photos. But he is so much more. He felt like a very welcomed guest at our wedding and was loved by all of our friends and family. He makes everyone feel at ease throughout the whole day and the photos he takes are just out of this world. He has helped tell a story of the most special day of our lives, capturing moments that remind you of the magic when the day just flies by. I couldn’t recommend him more highly. It’s pretty simple really, just choose Richard!”

This sounds great! But what is the investment?

Prices for all-day coverage start at £1500

OK fantastic how do we book?

Its very simple! A deposit and short contract is all I need to secure your date. So get in touch on my contact page, say hello and find out if I’m available on your wedding day.

To find out more or to book please get in touch – I’d love to hear from you.
