The Foundling Museum documents the history of the Foundling Hospital. Established in 1739, it was the first children’s hospital in the UK. Whilst the charitable work continues under Coram, the Foundling Museum documents not only documents the history of the hospital, but also contains works of art and music led by the philanthropic efforts of the artist William Hogarth and the composer George Frideric Handel.

To mark the history of the Foundling Hospital’s Boys’ Band, which was founded in 1847, the museum held Band Day. The event included outdoor performances by the Camden Concert Band, instrument-making workshops for young children, and informative talks held in front of exhibits. Attendees included some of the previous residents of the school before it’s closure in the late 1940s.

I was asked by the Foundling Museum to provide Event Photography for the afternoon and here is just a very small selection of images.
