My approach to any form of photography starts at the same point: identifying the story to be communicated and the key elements and protagonists that make it happen. Corporate Event Photography is no different and the challenge is to convey the feeling of action, atmosphere and intent – both for those that are there on the day, and those that may attend future events. There are engaging speakers, education, knowledge sharing, education, and elements of celebration. Furthermore a lot of work goes into the preparations and the details to make the event a success.

MaxFocus is not just an IT company or service provider; it provides a community to a host of other businesses that rely on its services and expertise. Its two-day UK event at the Hilton Heathrow Terminal 5 was a big deal. Service providers, sponsors, clients and inspiring speakers all gathered in one place from around the world. Huge amounts of effort had gone into organising an engaging two days with close attention paid to branding the event space.

The evening entertainment included a sit down meal, classic arcade games, very convincing Patsy & Del Boy impersonators and a rather humourous caracaturist.

As well as providing images throughout both days to be used on social media, a large edit was sent after the evening reception to be made into a film montage to kickstart day 2.

Since this event I’ve had the honour of returning to document multiple iterations of this event across the UK, Europe and the USA. You can see more from the 2019 Empower MSP conference in Amsterdam on the blog.
