Danny Bent is an inspiring and uplifting character with a thirst for spreading love. He’s cycled to India, set-up an event to raise funds for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings, founded the London-based free-fitness class Project Awesome and is one of the stars of the Freddie Flintoff-hosted Special Forces: Ultimate Hell Week, airing over 6 weeks on BBC 2. He’s authored two great books and written for some great publications.

The antics of a certain Danny Bent had been on my radar for a couple of years and we finally met at a wedding I was photographing in Sydney. Through sheer coincidence we flew back to the UK together and hit it off. Over time we began plotting to get some great images for his website. This July we spent a couple of hours in London talking through his projects, and having a bit of fun capturing his larger-than-life character on my camera.

To see more of my work with Danny you can see images from our action shoot which is up on my blog here. Danny is also the founder of Project Awesome and you can see my images for their first birthday workout at the Scoop, London by following this link.

You can find out more about Danny and his awesome work on his Website. He has been voted one of the 100 happiest people in the UK and features in the 50 most inspirational people in London.

He’s the founder of Project Awesome and the free fitness sessions at 6.30 on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday are a blast to attend.

BBC’s Special Forces: Ultimate Hell Week ran on BBC 2 each Sunday for 6 weeks from the 30th of August and there is a great trailer on the BBC website.
